Has anyone had any experience of new car discount sites on the web. Currently Nationwide-cars are quoting an on the road price for a new autobiography 4.4 sdv8 of £88533 a saving of £6306 on main dealer list price which is not to be ignored if all is as it seems. Do these sites come up with the goods as stated and are they easy and safe to deal with. Very tempting. Agueroooooooooo. 93-20

Once got a quote for a Saab 93 TTid Aero convertable from "drive the deal" online and when I produced it to the Saab MD in Bradford (they promised to price match any genuine quote) they balked at the £4k saving offered ( list £35k DTD price £31k) and asked me to prove it was a uk sourced car with same spec. Emailed DTD whilst in the MD and they emailed by return confirming that it was a uk sourced car ( they even gave the supplying Saab MD details - somewhere London way) they did the deal at £31k after calling the other Saab MD to confirm.

Just been in contact with Nationwide cars and the guy tells me the price quoted is for the old l322 model even though it mentions things like power tailgate and mood lighting etc. which were not available on that model. Strange. Agueroooooooooo. 93-20

I've not found anything other than a gesture - extra rubber mats and a boot mat.
