They definitely won't change the ratchets, have tried on a number of occasions without success.

Yeah, the ratchets are excluded on the same basis as Snap-On do with theirs. It will pack up sooner or later simply because of what it is. Just buy a repair kit and you'll be fine.

Seems odd as I have had ratchet spanners replaced without problem, moving parts in those. |

I suppose it depends which store you go to as well, I have now repaired mine with the repair kit for a fiver. If it dont work.......burn it!
