United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Tonga Green
Playing phone music via HI-FI of FFRR Vogue TD6 - March 2005

Regarding the in car stereo, on my Range Rover Vogue TD6 - March 2005 model year. What gizmos are on the market, that will allow music to be played via my S5 Samsung phone, through the current Rangee hi-fi system?

Bluetooth does not allow music to play (only phone access) and I even purchased a cigar adaptor that tunes into the radio frequency and can play music through current in car entertainment via the Samsung S5 . However none of the above seem to allow this to happen. It has worked on other newer vehicles but my own??

Is there a software upgrade or any other workable solution to get hi-fi connectabilaty through this 9 year old system?

Thought’s? Diver Bryn

You could try a dension gateway 500 bt it will give you ipod conection and bluetooth phone connection if yours is busted, its not cheap at around £350,it replaces the cd changer. if you still want to use the changer get the one with twin fot connections.theres also a dab radio upgrade but about another £170.

ive not used this device just been looking into this option for mine but use a dension gateway 100 on wifeys clio sport and it works a treat.

I'm about to but the Land Rover Ipod kit. I'm then going to try and stick an ipod bluetooth dongle on that... If that fails I'll be buying an ipod!

If you have a touch screen and seeing that yours is a 2005 that should be a given,I'm afraid the Dension Gateway won't work . Dension make the ACM kit for Land Rover and are legally obliged not to sell their own version . I'm afraid its bend over time at the Dealers of scour ebay to get lucky otherwise its one of those FM tuner types Crying or Very sad 2008 MY Supercharged

I am still umming and aahingh over whether to buy the iPod kit (very good price from Duckworh)! I have looked at every conceivable alternative - and there are loads of suggestions on the site - but keep coming back to the 'correct' kit. Only the lack of skill to install the thing has stopped me so far (if anyone has a suggestion in London to fit, do let me know!).

More relevant to you is that the kit works with USB sticks and MP3 players. Apparently.
