Hi,

I have just had the front air struts changed with Delphi replacements on my Td6 after 86,000 miles. There is a marked improvement in ride quality but I can feel the rear shock absorbers are also getting close to their end of life.

What should I replace them with?

I have found replacements from Delphi, Monroe, Bilstein (I believe this is the OEM manufacturer).

Any experiences from the forum to share?

The genuine LR rear shocks are >£200 a side...

My experience of Monroe shocks are they are crap, bought 4 and took them off after two weeks replacing them with Bilstein which were great...This was on my Classic RR

I just had the same, replaced front struts and thought I would do the crusty looking and tired rears (103k miles).
Options on mine range from around £35 Monroe inserts to OEM Bilsteins for £85 (mines a 4.4).
Bear in mind that cheap Monroes I think are just inserts so need to rebuild the strut. Bilsteins are complete struts ready to bolt in. I went for Bilsteins, yet to fit them but quality looks good as you would expect for OEM.

Bilstein or why not Delphi? Thats who made the fronts you have just fitted!!! Match all four corners...
