England 2011 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Santorini Black

That's the problem with bad management and too much emphasis on commission sales rather than customer satisfaction. I remember Dixons/Currys trying to get me to buy warranty cover on a £5 item that cost more than the product itself. Tom

It comes down to one key word:

Integrity

In my experience sales and integrity is the biggest oxymoron ever.

I know it's a gross generalisation, but when staff are targeted, very often they'll go to the limits of morality to make that target.

Of course there are exceptions to every rule such as our site sponsors, CTC etc, so I apologise in advance to any sales people on here Thumbs Up Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Begs the question, why buy the car in the first place if faults were known? Plenty more fish in the sea and all that..

Mr Tee, you're maybe taking me too literally on the point of "faults that were present" at the point of purchase. I'm applying the presumption in SOGA law that obvious faults existed at the point of purchase i.e, they quickly manifested after purchase, before any reasonable amount of miles/ use and the selling dealership has made no attempt to dispute any of that.

The car was bought as a surprise gift in exactly the desired spec, less common colour, model etc, was searched for over months and at the point of being gifted was a lovely present. Thumbs Up

@PaulMoran

Saturated with the apparent culture/ closed mindset of said dealership staff repeating "but it is a used car sir". Have therefore reminded them of the reason I bought an approved used. Because of the brand pledges that:
“… buying a used car doesn’t have to mean settling for something less than you really want... “.

Not one of the issues can reasonably be attributed/ dismissed due to the fact that it is 'used'. Car dropped off with them today with two options: Fix all/ commence properly fixing all within the coming week or full refund please.

And to top it all, I low speed kerbed one of the SC alloys this evening because I was rushing around trying to make up time owing to wasting more hours today on it all. My fault there of course but annoying.

Thanks Paul... inconvenienced but not remotely worried about this tbh... It will sort itself out and importantly, there are many reasonable people, including the many independent posts for this thread, who have a clear view as to outcome... more gutted I've kerbed the alloy on the RR! ... now that one is worth the trouble, I think Wink

Thumbs Up

What Volkswagen did you get then??

People often think they are solid cars but they do have their issues, and sometimes more often in certain models but the UK CS side of their operation usually covers this up and sorts things quickly...

Maybe move your lovely lady into a nice DS3 with good spec for the same money? They have some good offers on now you know, especially on nearly new or pre reg ones Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Refund process underway. Dealership denying the existence of obvious, evidenced and serious faults and fobbing off (to quote one opinion) other genuine issues. After the experience of the RR, not going through a similar scenario again and heeding majority advice which is to call time now.

One noteworthy thing from the experience has been the difference in class comparing our treatment from the RR dealerships as opposed to the VW dealership experience. Managers at the RR dealership always conducted themselves very well. Unfortunately not my experience with VW to date.

Sorry to hear mate, maybe the dealers take the term "Volks" as in "common people" a little bit to literally !!!

Hope you find a nice one. What about a nice Sirocco, I see them a lot in Singas and they do look nice !!

As for the RR alloy, bet one of our forum members can get you a nice alloy or just put the spare on (assuming that is unkerbed) Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!
