Led Zep is to rock music what Shakespeare is to literature. A huge gulf between them and the rest. I play the drums (very badly), and my kit is quite similar to Bonham's. Can't say I play like him though. He's a god behind the drums. No one like him, even today, and very few drummers understand power like he did. Example, listen to the bass drum in Kashmir. It sounds like an earthquake. It's because he's playing a slight flam with it - how brilliant is that! |
