Refinishing OEM wheels

I am thinking about having one of my wheels refinished and was wondering if the re- finish is as hard and durable
as the factory finish? I am not powder coating this time as I just have one wheel that needs it.
Thx!

I've had wheels refurbished many times (not the RR wheels) by a reputable company and they assure me that their finishes will be more durable than factory. They have not been proven wrong to date.

The procedure was tyres off, dip stripping, bead blasting, powder coating, oven baking and then a colour match paint finish followed by lacquering. They looked like they'd just left the factory and the lasted with no issues.

I am not powder coating this time but rather just having them re-painted and was hoping that the re-paint is as strong as the oem finish which might be baked on. Not sure. Thx!

Who do you use? mine are a little tatty and I wouldn't mind getting them refinished - can they also put right the 'kerbing' damage (which I hasten to add was done to them before we had the car).

Also, rough idea of cost per wheel please Bow down

Thanks. Thumbs Up 2006 (56 Reg) 4.4 V8 Vogue In Bonatti Grey (Gorgeous!!)

Hi Ray, I use wheelrite.co.uk Chorley, Lancs. Without postage/courier charges I was getting charged about £80 incl VAT per 20" wheel although that was for 4 wheels and was a couple of years ago for that size wheel so maybe a bit more now. You won't be disappointed with the work or the service and yes, they can sort kerb damage.

Thumbs Up
