I currently have my iPhone connected to the Aux socket and USB adapter in 12v socket in the rear off the centre console via a Y cable. The phone is held in a Cradle where I can see it.
However I mostly listen to the radio and the phone pairs with the car fine via BT so I was thinking why not remove the wires to the cradle in the centre console and splice then into the phone which can the be kept out of sight under the armrest. There's no point in me doing full integration as even when I am listening to music they are compilations it have made so no need to jump about from track to track and of course I know all the songs. I even make the odd MP3 CD.
I can also remove the connector as the phones used for PTI are a bit outdated to say the least.
Car is a 2007, phone is 20 pin old style Apple connector. Geoff
