Air Compressor Fault!

Ive got the dreaded "suspension fault - normal height only" messages and the orange suspension height control knob lights turn off. I have read a few of the threads and they have been quite helpful, although i was thinking of taking a look at it myself and wanted to know is it easy to strip down?
I have been quoted £400 for a new pump unit but im holding onto the hope that it is something very minor!

Is £400 about right or can i get a reconditioned unit?

cost price ex VAT for a new LR compressor is £372, so £400 is a very good price indeed... 06MY 4.4 V8 Autobiography Cairns Blue with Navy & Parchment Interior

Took a look at the wiki and helped me a lot. Turns out there is a large hole in the thin blue compressor tube and it is not the compressor as I was first quoted. I've noticed it is really quite difficult to get out. Any tips on how to replace it with least aggregation as possible? Also, where is the best place to get a replacement?
Saved myself 500 quid so far. Thanks guys Smile

Ive uploaded some photos of the blue pipe coming through to the compressor and also the underneath where the electronic connector is. It looks as though there is some black tape over the damaged pipe already so im assuming some cowboy has had his hands on this. I think it goes behind the OSR wheel behind the wheel arch but its a little tight in there!

Any help would be most appreciated.
