Wing Mirror lights

Whilst washing my car at the weekend, I noticed a small light on the underside of each wing mirror, I assumed they turned on when opening the door in the dark, however thats not the case.

What are they for and what controls whether they are on or off?

This would answer your question. In the mean time, they come on when you unlock the car...

yes the should light up when you unlock your doors

yes they are, i would say it will light the floor up better the the standard V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.
