DRL's for a 2010 Front End

I've been thinking about putting DRL's for some time, now my front end conversion is complete it is something i'd like to start looking at completing

I really like the look of the new merc style DRL's like these

do u think this would look alright? or am i better off converting the fog lights?

I know some firms are fitting DRL's like this on a FF

Or r they to low in the bottom splash guards etc?

Or just put the headlights on? Xenons are very noticeable and it won't cost you a penny.

IMHO, whenever I've seen an L322 or more likely a RRS with DRLs added, I think it makes it look chavvy. Discovery 4 HSE

I am personally not a fan of add on DRLs and would opt for the converted fogs if you were going that way... 4.2 Supercharged Vogue SE

don't people flash thinking you're driving around with your fog lights on ?

If you want DRL , what's wrong with running with the LED sidelights turned on ?

Clffy - The image doesn't really give a true view as the camera lens shows dazzle. The units are Powerful UK sourced and look like a circle of light dots around the circumference with a dot in the middle ( like stans do ) so look like DRLs rather than fogs.

chauch - I just wired to a DRL switch making them dim 50% when the sides or headlights are on. I will have posted about this somewhere

73vse - No, nobody has flashed, as most cars have DRLs it seems. I do believe they aid safety as they're far brighter than the side led lights.

Paul
