Looking for something that will protect the lower tail gate from a dirty dog getting lifted in & out

It doesn't come right up the back of the seats or right up the sides but is does cover enough when you have 2 wet labs in the back And even one of the dearer ones does stop the mud going on the roof lining or windows when they shake  2005 Range Rover Vogue with Supercharged Accessories

I bought one of those, though not from that seller. It was a long time back so I don't know who it was.

I complained about it when it arrived as none of the fixings seem to line up with the car, the elastic loops, the velcro straps and the metal D rings for the rear headrest posts, they refunded me 50% so I kept it. One elastic loop snapped immediately! In the end I paid about £30 after the refund.

The flap that covers the lower tailgate when it's down is an issue. On mine it had an elastic loop on each side but for the life of me I can't fathom where it is supposed to attach to. The only fixture nearby is the lower tailgate locks.

From memory I think about 1/3 of the elastic loops have come off so far, but it has protected the carpets of my last 2 RRs.

In my experience its that lovely cream roof lining you have to worry about, one shake from a wet dog and its a nightmare to clean.

Plan was to also use a cage in the rear, looks like I 'll need a cage with a cover or solid top

.... at this rate I think the dog will have to be restricted to travelling in my old Landy Series 2A

I am really pleased with this liner from www.hatchbag.co.uk There is another flap which goes right over the rear seat backs but it's not fitted as I have the cargo net thingy. 3 big dogs to squeeze in here so it helps but as already stated there's no protection for the roof lining etc and I still have to wipe the nose marks off the glass !

It's a cargo net type thing. It rolls out & up, clips at each end onto fittings already in the roof. Not sure if it was meant for dogs but to stop stuff flying forward in an emergency.

I'd be interested to hear how this fits and attaches as I need a full liner to protect from my large Bernese(!), does it need velcro on the side of boot too? Also does it go up the back of the rear seats? 2011 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography
