Been into LR today to have my flickering headlamps looked at. Typically as soon as they got it in the workshop it stopped doing it and worked perfectly! Theyve flickered on high beam, constantly since I got it, and now it decides to self repair! Typical

Sorry, not sure how the dealer can get out of that one. It is a catastrophic failure of an essential braking component and it is one which is not considered a service item or a consumable.

I know. It got me thinking whether I would have remembered the emergency braking procedure (pull on the elctronic handbrake) under pressure....

luckily it happened at slow speed , BUT on a 2007 car the odds of a brake flexi hose bursting at slow speed with very little applied pressure is probably a million to one chance possibly higher i would be interested in seeing a pic of said hose just to see were it failed

Agreed. Dealer broke my steeringwheel, I saw them do it from the other side of the carpark, then tried to bill be £800 to repair it. They are all shysters. |

It does look really sus, but I don't see how they could have damaged it themselves. They were looking at the headlamps.... |

Thinking about the emergency brake procedure for a moment, would it have worked? Not without fluid I suspect.

I dont know. I'm not sure what the electronic parking brake is attached to. I know the old one was a transmission brake.
