Newbie - buying advice / questions my2011

Hi all,

I'm contemplating switching from BMW (5 series GT xdrive) to a RR L322, very happy that I googled this great forum. Found a lot of great buying advice so far, still I would appreciate some help with a few things I'm unclear about. The "target" is a model 2011 or 2012 Autobiography, still torn between the 5.0 SC and the 4.4 TDV8. I had a test drive with the diesel, no exposure to the SC yet. I'm driving a lot on the autobahn in southern Germany, for skiing and hiking in the Alps, but also have long drives to Eastern Europe 2-3 times a year. Almost no city traffic, we have a more suitable car for that use case. It all sums up to 15k miles, maybe even a bit more..Driving up to our lodge in the mountains is in scope too, road is not plugged in the winter and full of mud holes during summer....as it is mainly used by forestry trucks.

Cost of fuel is not such an issue (fuel card), but range is, as I hate spending time at a petrol station. I'm not sure I should even try the SC, there might be no way back Smile

Here are a few quite specific things about the L322 I could not figure out so far, unfortunately no LR dealership really close by, this not making things easier Smile.

- is the DAB radio compatible with the DAB+ standard?
- is the TV tuner always a hybrid tuner for MY 2010 and up?
- is there an external antenna for the phone (e.g. via cradle)?
- the SC comes with a 6gear box, will the engine rev significantly higher in the highest gear compared to the 8th gear of the tdv8 say at 100mph? By how much?
- who is the supplier of the factory park heater? Which model is it? Looking to add a control unit to allow start via phone/app/SMS

Many thanks in advance for all help, just realized my post got a bit long Bow down
