BAS MPF Remap Programming Via The Cloud!

Have you ever thought a remote tuning solution is needed, and to boot you want to program your cars tuning via your mobile phone ? WELL ITS HERE Razz

We have been beta testing this tool since we spoke with CMD and set the seed about the concept of this over 6 months ago now, its at last at a stage where I can post some beta testing pictures of the tools we will shortly have available in stock.

This is a few snaps of my programming a Defender 2.2 TDCi with the new tool using a Samsung Android. We are finalising the FFRR and RRS TDV8 3.6 protocol Monday along with the 2.7 RRS and D3 Smile

We will shortly have pricing on our web site for the new and innovative tool, keep watching for a full car list coming soon.

This as seen is with a Samsung phone, but we are in talks with the factory for some of these cheap Tablets that we will be able to supply very very cheap for people who do not have an android phone.

Looks great! ( I have android Wink )

Does this program/setup "talk to base" i.e. provide "BAS" with current mapping info for you to advise on the best map / configuration for our cars. I a guessing that unless we know what we are doing we could do all sorts of damage if left alone! Is there some kind of failsafe to prevent "bricking" the car or restoring original mapping?

So how does it all work? .

Hi

Yes it reads the software from the car, syncs it with the cloud and sends it to me. I then modify it and upload back to the cloud. Once this is done your device re syncs and gets the BAS made file for programming onto the car.

In the event you decide to pull the android off the device while programming, The device will still carry on programming the car without android attached, you can even reconnect the android while the device is programming and it will resume on screen info Thumbs Up

In the event you decide to pull the device out of the OBD port while programming, It will enter recovery mode on next connection and start again reprogram the car Thumbs Up

In the event you do not have internet connection and you need to return the car to original, you can no problem, all info is stored on the device Thumbs Up

In the event you turn the key off while programming, It will enter recovery mode on next reconnect Thumbs Up

In the event your phone battery is flat, No problem the device charges phones while they are connected and maintains a level battery on a tablet Thumbs Up

In the event you do ANYTHING you shouldn't do, We have hopefully thought of it and recovery is available automatically. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

I have this on the Dyno at the moment and tomorrow we are adding the MPF protocol to the MPF car list. I'll at the same time make a few small videos of it in action while doing things you should really not do like pulling the OBD plug during programming etc etc to hi light how stable this tool really is.

Hi

The hardware is currently only single vin use due to what is going to be a very very low price. its not really aimed at multi car use as we already have dedicated dealer tools for this.

well what do you do for the 4.4 petrol M62 engine, it seems most maps are only for the diesel engines,i have been told that the gain in performance on the petrol is hardly noticeable, is this true. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Here is a badly made video I just did on my drive using a Samsung Tablet with the MPF and my Toughbook controlling the server and its files, Ill make some good ones when I can have a camera man with me so I dont have to do that and control the MPF an the server from my other laptop at the same time.

Echoing Daveo above, I have a S/C.

I've also heard the improvement is minimal, do you have any experience of this?

Cheers

Sorry no we dont do the NA cars, as you say the gains are really small and so not worth the developement cost for the power reward. http://www.bellautoservices.co.uk
