New Toy

I am sure I will regret it, but I borrowed this for a day and well..................

Just waiting on something being fixed by the previous owner, but I managed to "sell" this to the missus as being suitable for taking the grandson out as it has rear seats.

Not the most favoured of Ferrari's but they are very nice to drive and reasonably quick in 3.4T guise. 2011 Stornaway Grey 5.0SC Autobiography

Very nice indeed and fairly rare as well.

I ran an equally unpopular 348 TB a good few years back and owning a Ferrari at some stage in life is really nice thing to do. I hope it is kind to you…. 4.2 Supercharged Vogue SE

Thanks Kurt.... of course the 308 GT4 in that programme Hammond bought and did up, so can't have been that bad. As for the other pieces of Italian junk Laughing

In all seriousness, I do know it is like entering the lottery and either I will be lucky or depressed inside a year. The inspection picked up on quite a few issues which have been fixed prior to me buying such as flywheel, ABS, Aircon and steering rack. I know the specialist fixing it personally and they tell me it is now in good order.

What can I say, I like to live life on the edge. I own three V8 cars and that is 12 litres of trouble just waiting to go wrong Shocked 2011 Stornaway Grey 5.0SC Autobiography

Hey, I have an 11 year old Range Rover - I know about car roulette. Laughing

What ever happens, I'm sure it'll be a good experience - and who wouldn't like to own a Ferrari at some stage. Thumbs Up

Thanks guys. Looking after a 512BB for a week or two and it is worth 10 times the Mondial, so puts it in perspective. Have to say though, it takes about 5mins to start the damn thing and is the singular most uncomfortable driving position ever..... prefer the Mondial by a country mile.

It will be bed fellows with the SL once that comes back from engine work in a couple of weeks. Just sorted the garage out to fit two cars in and really looking forward to having a pair of toys. 2011 Stornaway Grey 5.0SC Autobiography

Got 12 bottles of Laphroaig in my cellar, 12 litres of trouble? Just think my chances for a headache are bigger than yours. Enjoy it!
Wishing you many, many funmiles Thumbs Up

That BB512 reg plate, on that car....that's just about as cool as it gets in my book Thumbs Up

A friend of a friend has an F40 and it's quite possibly the most hideously unreliable and expensive car I have ever heard of (without the veyron stories, I live in cheshire but don't kick a ball for wages) BUT it's still a poster car from my youth and has me captivated....

I do quite fancy a classic at some point, only my version of a classic sports car may not mirror that of others !!

Maserati 3200's are very cheap at the moment ! Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........
