Interestingly, this frenchman did fit a D3 snorkel to his L322 a while ago (bottom of page). It seems you two had the same idea and found the same solutions!

Wel,l we had a wonderful trip to the Lakes last weekend, the Range Rover did all that was asked of it, didn't get stuck once, even on some pretty extreme rocky terrain, unfortunately it was dry as a bone and the only river crossing was very low and blocked by some thoughtless person anyway... So the snorkel didn't get a testing....

Did damage the sidewalls on three tyres, the FF is too wide for the little old tracks up there....
