They used to, Stan. The driver had the option to put the lights into this mode - I used to run a V70 T5 (sorely missed) on them all the time.

I think this is an increasingly common occurrence.

My XC90 ran front and rear at all times, it's a dealer 'option' to have the lighting set to a more traditional UK style ! Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........ |

We followed an idiot on the M54 last Sunday night with NO lights on whatsoever. Both I, and about 20 other people travelling in both directions tried flashing him, I even pulled in front of him and turned my lights on and off, but he was totally oblivious

Unfortunately I've also seen many FFRR and SSRR drivers switch on just the "angel halo" lights at night rather than the usual headlights....

I think DRLs are dangerous. Too easy for people to forget they have no rear lights on in bad light or bad weather.

I think DRLs are a menace. A lot of them (including OEM) are poorly installed and can distract oncoming drivers due to their brilliance. I think that they are supposed to either dim or go off when main lights are on but, in quite a few cases they stay on.
