Because he only uses and connects the old display to set the clock |

spoke with the guy how is doing these and there may be an interface that can be used, all you will have to do is select av2 and that will connected to the factory video supply, it will show then display all the what was shown on the old display...the prob is the buttons that was on the old unit, these are now lost and are needed to control the operation of the factory system via the ibus. Exactly - it's not just the clock. You'll still need the MID. In theory it should actually be quite easy to program a working interface. These units usually run on winCE and the various ibus compatible front-ends such as CarX (which daveo has installed) or Carmedia already interface with the vehicles controls and run under windows.
