Land Rover have done a lot to improve security particularly in the new defender and l460 Range Rover and sport. If they are not being stolen as much will insurance for them remain high because previous models are still being targeted?

I would have thought that they were ideally placed to approach an underwriter with a plan to produce a product that is needed by many on here.

A proactive stance by A plan should give them a product members on here would be queuing up to buy...

I appreciate your position but isn't there a way you can consult an underwriter with a plan to insure vehicles, owned by enthusiasts and not just "the public". These owners love and cherish their vehicles and go to great lengths to protect their investment, they are not the "usual" owners who give little to no thought of how to prevent their pride and joy being stolen...

There is a massive hole in the market, whoever fills it will surely make some money.... Pete

My dealer thinks JLR have a new insurance product in the works, they are teaming up with an underwriter. No details or timings. MY23 PHEV HSE
MY19 Disco 5 HSE - gone
My16 Disco 4 HSE LUXURY - gone
My12 Disco 4 HSE - gone
MY05 Disco 3 S - gone but not forgotten

landrover did have their own insurance up to around november 2022 but discontinued it.

Hi all, only just joined the forum after buying my first L322 Vogue at the weekend, so forgive me if I am behind the curve on the latest updates but I wanted to feed back my experience. Having just got off the call to APlan (who are now Howdens), I was treated to exactly the same brokerage experience as everywhere else, albeit much more expensively. I was quoted £3500 for comp insurance on a £10k vehicle with two mature drivers. The agent also explained that Howdens does not have a specialist RR team. For comparison, the best quote I have had from the usual comparison sites has been £1225.

Although this thread is still live as we are still competitive on the classics - we aren't currently "active" on the forum as our JLR market for 2014 and newer is a struggle, especially if it is not modified.
