Door strip removal

How do you remove the exterior black strip that runs along the top of the door where it meets the glass. Mine is badly corroded

Start from the back edge of the door and prise the end upwards. Protect the door and use a large screwdriver and hammer to tap up the back end and then pull the trim off vertically working to the front of the door.
Once the back edge is off the rest comes away easily.

Hi,

My advise is replace all 4 at the same time. Not that expensive and you will get the right look rather than 3 looking old and one new.

Dan can supply the 4 and they are genuine..

My Fitting Info and Pictures can be found here

found two used ones for the front so they will match the back !!. Incidentally , the rears are perfect yet the two front ones are awful. Wonder why that is ?
