Excellent deal! I'm remembering the unfortunate gentleman whose TDV8 ingested its turbo with fatal results. At £680, with a good engine, that would be quite a deal. Also, a number of interior cosmetic trim pieces are well above €680 EACH!

Maybe we could all chip in and have it garaged up somewhere for bits when required!

It looks in nice condition everywhere else apart from that corner.

Looking at the chassis leg though it looks bent back on itself, I wouldn't be putting my family or friends in it as even after replacement you've got no guarantees it's as strong as it was. It'd probably be OK but it wouldn't be a risk I'd take

It says on the window "no turnover" so you'd wonder what has broken on it, it could be electrical or it could be mechanical. If the starter has been hit by things moving could it have broken the casting that it's bolted to?

For the money it's at just now it's a no brainer but if it does start to rise sharply (my estimate is circa £15k finishing price) then it's not worth the risk. It might never drive quite right, it could scrub tyres if the suspension isn't quite right etc.

My guess is for it to have been written off there must of been £20k's worth of damage for it to be repaired as a good condition 2010 is still worth over £30k. Isn't this also the MY that they took the Brembo brakes off them?

It is cat d which means it should be repairable, but thats not to say its not going tk take a huge effort, at a few hundred quid its a no brainer, but it would take having it in the air to have a look to see what is bent, obvoiusly the suspension is gone, but that has probably taken the subframe with it, possibly the top mount for the strut whch seems to be too far over, if the screen needs replacing it possibly means the frame is deformed, there is a turbo behind that innner wing, the fbh in there also, that will most likely have gone too, so it all starts adding up, all to be left with a cat d repaired car at the end of the day.

Engine also seems to be sitting in slightly the wrong place! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

TBH i think it would have been valued at even more for the repair and i bet a new shell would have been mentioned once or twice as the easiest option...

I think its still possible it could prove a bargain but only under £9-10k as above that your aking a big big risk as it will only be worth £20-24k when done as a CAT write off.

The engine may not be turning over if the pyro charge on the battery lead has gone or one of the many other electrical gremlins showing on the dash is covering something up. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
