Hi, been sent over here by David H as he's been persuading me get a FFRR instead of a D3.

I am looking at a car that has had the engine removed (stolen recovered) and am not afraid to gets my hands dirty but I would like to get the engine checked out before I go to the hassle of refitting it and wondered if anyone had any suggestions. I am in Bristol but the engine can be shipped anywhere.

When refitting the plan is to also do the following:

1. drain and replace gearbox oil
2. replace TC
3. Replace EGRs
4. Replace turbo oil pipes
5. Full service on engine
6. Injectors cleaned and tested
7. New alternator to be safe

Any other things I should consider if I take this on?

Hi Andy. Welcome from another Brizzle Boy. May be best to detail which engine size and type and year of FFRR it is. They have changed over the 10 yrs or so.
