Having driven through standing water yesterday, there started a noise coming from underneath sounding like a plastic panel had come loose and was touching a wheel.

I would say that the water was maybe 6" deep - kerb height, at most, and maybe 6' across (location was Tealby - Bully Hill road near Market Rasen in Lincs) If I had been in a "normal" car I would have slowed down considerably, but was maybe doing 40-50mph as I went through. So, basically, much quicker than in a car, but still would not expect this sort of damage in a RR. The part itself is £45 plus fitting, but tomorrow I am going to see whether a local main dealer will accept it as a warranty repair... |
