Decisions, Decisions

Well, I have a dilemna it seems. I've been out playing at the LR dealer today, tried the new RRS and a L322, both the 5.0 Charger. I'm really taken with both and the new Sport has to be driven to be believed. The sheer power of the thing is bordering on the altogether silly level whereas it feels slightly more sensible in the L322.

I was always planning to keep the D3 for another year or two but the new job means I need to run a cheap car for the commute so my weekend and towing car no longer needs to be sensible or frugal.

The thing is I don't need 7 seats so the L322 would seem to be the more Gentlemanly of the 2 but OMG, that Sport. I think I might have wet myself at one point. Interestingly the new Sport 4.4 Diesel feels just as quick but doesn't have that growl that you get with the Charger.

So the sensible side of me says keep the D3. The petrolhead in me says get the new Sport. The wife says wait a year and get a L405 charger when they've dropped in price a bit, but honestly I reckon I'll end up with the L322. It's an Autobiography and it's Firenze red, my favourite colour.

So, a damn fine day out then. Right, to complete the day well I'm off to teh MIL's for Sunday Roast. Perfick!

If I had an L322 or L405 charger, I couldn't get into anything else in the morning Very Happy I am facing the same dilemma and opting for another TD6 for work and an SC for towing etc. I have an Audi S6 that embarrassingly has done 3K in the last 14 months, I cant see past the FFRR, HELP Thumbs Up

I agree with Kurt.

Nice sort of decision, mind you! Thumbs Up

And yes, keeping the D3 IS the most sensible, though not necessarily the most fun.

Wish i had a dilema like that Mr. Green

I wpuld think about gong for the 405 sc in a year or 2, get a cheap sc 322 to fill in the gap which wont dump a load of cash in the meantime, run it around for a while then go back and drive the 405 sc. But as My budget is unlikely to be in 405 territory for the next 5 years at least, i am keeping the 3.6 for the time being, but if 30k appeared on my doormat i would betrading up to a 322 5.0sc, in grey with ivory piano, power steps, 20"style11 wheels, tints, towpack, rse (as you can tell i have given this no thought at all Whistle There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
