Hi sorry for hijacking the thread but I am also about to have my oil changed....was going for cast roll magnates or mobile 1 but how much does the range rover take for a full oil change ....... Is 5 litres enough of do I need to get 2 cans? Current Cars:

Not sure what the best oil for the Petrol engines is but someone will be along soon to let you know.

Cheers and before anyone else mentions it i did mean castrol magnatec oil ...... Bloody iPad and spelling corrections! Current Cars:

Magnatec is old technology for older engines, you are better with Castrol Edge |

I've ordered Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40 Fully Synthetic... hopefully this will be ok!?

i use castrol magnatec oil 5w30 have done for a while V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

The Workshop Manual says:
When I did my 4.4 I used full synthetic 5W-40 I think and, as 47p2 says, you'll need 8.5- 9 litres for an oil & filter change. |
