There's no problem getting two 5A cables into the boot area. Just drill two 1mm holes in the large rubber grommet that the tow electrics go thro into the boot and push the 5A cables thro. The holes are tight enough to form a water proof seal.

I'd want these deployable like the side steps. Would be cool. Could have loads of lights then, as you'd not normally see them. Prob can't be done.

^ There would in fact be room underneath to tip the lights upwards towards the front of the car when not in use if they were mounted on spring loaded stainless steel hinges instead of fixed rigidly like mine.
