Pressure do you run the 255x50x20 tyres on , some fitters say 36 Front 42 Rear, others say 32 Front 36 Rear so kinda wondering what most of you Gents run on ......

Should be listed on a sticker on the drivers door shut - mine certainly was when I had a puncture on Friday!

I run 42 rear, 36 front (MY07 TDV8 20inch)

Should be varied depending on passenger load...

That's what i run on 42 rear's 36 Front, but a Kwik told me they were too high .......

They have no idea

Follow what LR recommend for a vehicle of this weight  Java with Ivory 2006 4.2 Supercharged. 23.5k miles - NOW SOLD!

Worth noting that they have to cover their backs so you may fing the pressures a little high in the rear unless you have 4 adults plus luggage!!!

I suggest 34 front and 36 back when everyday driving with one or two in the front.

I was told by the local dealer in 2003, and confirmed again when I bought the S/C last year to stick to the pressures on the plate. Apparently, it helps with the notorious "cupping" the FF RR is known for.

But the difference between unloaded & loaded on the sticker is huge. You need to use your judgement IMHO.

I've always used the sticker pressure

Completely even tyre wear if going by the sticker, and the car really does corner well

Put it another way - my mountain bike tyre pressures are between 40-50 PSI

Go by what the manufacturer says for each wheel/tyre combo. There is the a reason they have arrived at those values.

Now, we are all aware of non-standad wheels/tyres voiding your insurance... think about incorrect tyre pressures for a minute then!

Not only that, but you are seriously affecting the safety of you, passengers, and others with under-inflated tyres on such a heavy beast like the FFRR.

20" wheels are not as comfortable as 19s or 18s - FACT. If you are trying to get the levels of comfort of the smaller wheels by under-inflating 20s - well that's daft IMO, you should just stick on smaller wheels. Java with Ivory 2006 4.2 Supercharged. 23.5k miles - NOW SOLD!
