Rear centre armrest thingy

OK, officially going nuts now. 2007 Vogue SE with RSE. According to various online sources when I drop the armrest down in the rear seats there should be a lift up cover which reveals the place to keep the headphones.

Yeah right. So mine is lacking this feature, and TBH, I had never seen it on any FFRR until today. Now I've seen it I reckon it'd be nice to have. So, can it be retrofitted anyone???

More to the point, looking at Microcat, I can't see any different part numbers. The only bit I can see in that general area which was optional is the ski bag, something I would gladly lose if I had to. Unfolded the B Censored d once......farkin thing took ages to get back.

C'mon you nice helpful chaps. Any clues please?

Thanks

Dom

I know this will irk you but I also have a 2007 plated Vogue SE with RSE.

It has the ski hatch and the lift up compartment in the arm rest for the remote control.

The only reason I can think that you don't have it is if you have an aftermarket system because the arm rest bit was part of the OE RSE package?

Is it an official version? Discovery 4 HSE

looks like somebody screwed up from the LR parts bin. The times I have seen this happen, Vogues with std steering wheels - no leather. VSE parts fitted to Vogues and vice versa, trim in slightly different colours - makes you wonder if the guys on the assembly line do it for a laugh!

Here's some pictures of mine (I'm not rubbing it in!) but this is how it should look. Sorry about the poor quality, took these on the iPhone 3GS for speed.

Also noticed that your centre armrest has the older versions of the cup holders in the back of the centre headrest- which was actually MUCH better than the newer ones which don't fit ANYTHING! Censored Even cans of pop roll around till they fall out, they're total SH*T.

And then the centre armrest with the remote control storage open:

Cheers Adam

So, I have 2 of these bags.

Both have a set of headphones and a remote control inside, like so.

Just nowhere to store the things so they end up rattling around in the boot.

I also have those but they fit upside down in the door side pockets very snugly and don't go anywhere.

So you have 2 remote controls then? That's a bit flash! Discovery 4 HSE

LOL, flash eh. I actually have 3, one which has a missing battery cover but I keep it for spares. Embarassed

But the cubby in the boot floor is full of a towbar in my car so that's not an option. Can't seem to get them in the door pockets, not without forcing it all. And you know what they say, if it doesn't fit, don't force it Wink

You know what chaps......I'm gonna see if a trimming place can do summat with the armrest I have. It should be possibly to fit something in there and cover it with similar leather.

Cheers

Dom

The problem that I have found with the headphones is that when you put them in their carrier pouches, it's almost impossible not to accidentally swithc them on - hence batteries go flat - I take the batteries out before storing them away.

I bought the storage nets for the rear to keep them in as my RHS cubby has the air compressor due to my LPG tank ! Stolen / Gone: 2006MY Supercharged LPG Autobiography - Zambezi Silver with Sand/Jet/Jet Oxford Leather.....

As I understand it if the headphones are out of range from the transmitter then they switch off automatically Confused

Mine are in their pouches one in each of the FRONT door pockets - they fit in there very nicely and it mean the "grown ups" are in control of their usage Thumbs Up
