I was thinking this was a wind up myself by someone who knows how you guys would react to the query. However, just did the author search on betty02 who has raised 7 threads to date on the website and all relate to FFRR mods. So reckon it's a genuine query. I'd just get the right colour car & colour interior in the first place though if it were me. Steve

Wow - tough crowd here. Go easy on the kid. None of you had stupid automotive ideas when you were younger? Actually, when reading through the posts here I know that must've been the case - because there are some rather silly ideas floating from well aged sources.

Probably still too expensive. The rrs is still twice the price of the full fat used. It's true we were all young once (albeit a looong time ago for some of us). I for one certainly stuck some really tacky to some even tackier cars. Once, I even put a 'turbo' badge on my 1.1 fiat UNO The shame! It definitely felt faster after that though...... I'm pretty sure that each and every one of you have done some shameful things to cars when you were young, CONFESS and the truth shall set you free |

thats true if you are comparing an aged 02 plate to a 55 plate Sporty, but age for age a FFRR isn't half price or cheaper |

I am in deep shock Even deeper shock that you 'fessed up to it. For my sins my highlight was a Ford Sierra 4x4 spoiler onto the back of a Sierra Ghia. |

My first car was a V6 Capri. I had a summer job working as a gopher for the local Porsche dealership and one day - lo and behold - there was a pair of 14" alloy 924 wheels with like 195/65's in the dumpster (why, I do not know to this day. They became mine). As the much larger than original (puny something or other 13") tires rubbed, I ran down to the local auto supply store and purchased a 'shackle kit'. A shackle kit extends the rear leaf spring mount downwards and gives the car quite the 'jacked-up dragster' stance. I drove around with big Porsche alloys on the back and tiny stamped steel Capri wheels on the front for a good year or 2 - and thought I was pretty cool. I was 16 at the time - but every now and then I still do silly things to my cars. Only now they're tasteful silly things.
