Reliable number plate LEDs ??

Hi.
I've tried 5 different types of LED 36mm festoon bulbs from various Ebay suppliers and none of them has lasted more than 3 weeks before the dreaded "bong" and "check number plate light" appears.
Invariably the light still works but the "canbus error free" part has failed.
Has anyone fitted reliable ones and if so where did they come from
Thanks 2002 4.4 V8 with LPG

I fitted some and apart from a slight 1-3 second flicker on start up they are fine, no error or fault displayed Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Where from Nick? One of mine has just gone and I'm thinking of LED's now. Travelling around in circles again.

It's OK Nick. I thought you were talking about a recent purchase. I'll have a look on eBay myself.
Thanks anyway. Travelling around in circles again.

I fitted Cree LED festoons on mine...no errors. Make sure they are canbus and look on ebay for "cree". Those are the brightest and most OEM looking. Mine have 2 Cree downward facing LED's on each bulb 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

Thanks for the replies but I still dont know a reliable source.
I bought LEDs including CREE ones on ebay from the following sellers:

online.163 - these last about three weeks then "check number plate light" comes on (supplier sent 10 instead of the 4 I ordered so still working through them quite rapidly).
virtualux - these broke within a week
uk-choice - these broke within a week.

If anyone can point me to a source they have used and the bulbs have been reliable that would be great.
Thanks

Thanks
Sounds like they've last a while for you.
Can you remember whether it was a UK or chinese supplier ?
I'll have a look. Perhaps I've just been unlucky with the ones I've tried...

The bulbs (36mm Cree Canbus LED 5w white) from "xenonbulbs.co.uk" arrived today and I fitted them before going out this evening.
Within 5 miles a warning came up for "front fog light", then one for "number plate light" and then one for "main beam light".
Having checked all the lights, all were ok except for one of the recently fitted Cree LED number plate lights. Not that impressed and have emailed "xenonbulbs.co.uk" to ask how their 12 month guarantee works.
Having swapped the faulty bulb which was very hot to touch, for another all warnings are gone....for now....
I hope this is a one-off fault but me experience with the LED number plate bulbs is terrible.
I'll see what Xenonbulbs say and do.

I'll check if they're the same as porsche ones , but I've had a couple of sets from Ecs-tuning running strong for over 4 years .

Hope you sort it mate, forgot to mention but when i did my number plate lights i noticed the contacts in the bulb holder were very dull so a quick rub with wire wool and a quick spray with contact cleaner did the job 03 TD6 vogue....Epsom, very nice
