i have lost one of my smart keys. Anyone got any ideas for a cheaper-than-the-ridiculous-main-dealer route for replacing? If i buy a US one on eBay. will that work in the UK? And i read somewhere that even not all UK smart keys can be reprogrammed for every RR ? Please help!

I have a smart ket for a 2010 RR that came with a load of keys we where wieghing in for our hospice, your welcome to it if you can get it reprogrammed, i have a few other RR kays as well but i think they older type with the hidden emergency key

I tried to get my spare (which did not work) key RE - programmd by a main dealer and they tried but it didn't work - They sold me a new key and that wouldn't program either and they said I needed a new module for £350.00 I argued as my single key worked and they gave me my money back except for the metal key bit that had to be cut specific to my car. So it cost me 30 quid for a key that is useless to me.

Thank you for the kind offer, the right hand key in the picture suffers from a lot of wear and the rubber bits coming unstuck from the metal frame. If you had one of this type, I would be most grateful

Sorry to say but the keys are not re-programmable. I had a spare and I tried to substitute the good bits from my nice key to the scrappy key and they wont swap either!

I also had the rubber bits coming loose on one of my two keys and I just glued the rubber back in place.

just resurrecting an old thread as I need to replace one of my damaged key fobs....

if I buy another key fob (not sure if it is new or previously used with another RR as it is coming from another forum) - can it be reprogrammed to work with my car or do I need to shell out for a brand new one only at a dealer? MY11 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - "African Queen"
