Landrover in Slough - areport

Morning all put my S/C into Landrover Slough to have some warranty work done.
Upshot wasn't covered by warranty but wanted work done anyway so repair heated drivers seat took a week but they phoned me every day with an update - they put the wrong part on twice - gave me a free courtesy car and the bill including the parts was only just over 400 quid which considering that they had to remove the seat isolate all the air bags etc etc three times wasn't bad Wink so although it was laborious the service was in a funny way good and they left in all the parts they replaced foc Thumbs Up

Experienced Specialist LR Independents are the way to go. A lot of MD apprentices rigidly use the manual instead of experience/knowledge.

@ Gazellio - Gary, can you please clarify a point?

In the recent "GOOD ADVICE" thread, in response to a question, you said "home servicing adds nothing, Indy a bit and Main Dealer a lot in terms of ease of sale. Stamps mean prizes..."

So, is your own preference to use an Indy for maintenance work and have the basic service done at the main dealer for the purpose of MD stamps in the book (or not or what)?

The question is asked to try and make the right decisions now to keep the car an attractive proposition come eventual resale time.

Thanks.

Depends on the age of the car. If it's a young car with MD services prior to purchase the ideal record would be more MD services. Land Rover independents are as good but second best record wise.
