Navcoder

Anyone got it and if so, what are your experiences?

My experience with it leaves a lot to be desired to be honest!

I have one, connected in via the Resler USB interface on my car PC (very useful for setting up and debugging). Useful for grabbing checking canbus codes, and a few settings, does a good job with the PDC too, and allows setting TV in Motion. I paid up for the full version, but once I got all the settings I needed I haven't used it since.

Joe has provided a link to the software.

You need. 1. A usb interface and 2. The software.

You need the resler ibus interface - google Smile

Just for completeness:

Here also is the wiring diagram, ignore the green wire as this is for switching the screen over to reverse cam. You will find all the wires you need in the boot somewhere.

If you don't mind waiting weeks for a reply to your (many) questions regarding Navcoder, then get vague responses or auto replies but no actual solutions, then go ahead and fork out £22 for it. Good luck getting it to work though.
I downloaded the Beta software and bought an obd cable which the author suggested would work. He later said it wouldn't work even though he lists it on his website. He then advised getting a serial port cable so I did. This time, I bought one from eBay along with an adaptor cable with USB connectivity. He then said USB wasn't reliable.
ended up buying another serial port cable and hardwiring it into the loom and it's still hit and miss. I then tried his older version of the software which worked better.
I emailed him to tell him this and his reply was " yeah, the beta version does seem to be a little buggy".
You don't say!
I got a refund in the end from my bank as Paypal wouldn't refund, due to it being non-tangible goods.

I have it. No major issues other than as joe90 says, it's not great at connecting first time.

I also have the iid tool, which covers stuff navcoder doesn't.

I've set up what I want, and then hardly need to use it.

Does what I want in the end though.

Over time, I think the chaps at gap diagnostic and the iid tool may add config functionality to that, so may be less of a need for navcoder. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
