This Intravee thing...

I've seen loads of Alpine units on ebay. Never see an Intravee unit though.

Does the Alpine need the Intravee to work then?

The usual combination is the Alpine KCA-420i with the Intravee. The Intravee connects to your existing audio cables and the Alpine 'sits' between the Intravee and your iPod/iPhone.

Its to link your IPOD or other thingies to the in-car stereo system. Mine sits in my glovebox.

Do these work on 2002-2004 cars (Vogue) with the DSP etc?

I've been told that they don't?

thanks Smile

Mine's a 2004 and it works fine in mine. I can control the player through the central screen unit's buttons and volume and track skip through the steering wheel.

Cheers for the response mate.

Is your's a Vogue as I gather you can do a lot more on the HSE due to a lack of the DSP etc?

To get this working was it just a simple case of unplugging the CD plaer and putting this in it's place? No upgrading of any other components / new firmware etc ?

Thanks

Mine's an autobiography (Vogue super plus!! Whistle ) but if you have an HSe the stereo is much more basic and may not be usable for this. Not sure.

ref install, it was all in the car when I bought it so not sure of the installation process but it looks quite simple.

Trya search on here as there is lots of info by various people who have gone down this road. Sorry but I am not the most knowledgeable when it comes to invisible things like electrics!
