Haven't used car in a couple of days went to start car this morning and she hesitantly started. As I wasn't going anywhere and was just moving car I thought I would plug in my solar trickle charger. I had noticed over the past few months a whooshing noise at low speeds and after posting here someone reckoned it was alternator. Battery is 2 months old . On trying to start some 5 hours later nothing just that clicking noise |

Surely if it's fully charged it should read 12/12.5v? 14v on a charging cycle, then 13.5 etc .... it is essentially a 12v battery! Land Rover Addict

Will tend to read high after starting around 14v as the charge is replaced then drop slightly after the charging is complete afaik, with a non running voltage of 12.5ish. Yep that's what I meant.

Okay update. Charged battery car started with ease connected iid tool for live voltage values. Values whilst driving were between 12.8 up to 14 with an average of 13.5 so this makes me think alternator is fine. It could be that I had quite a few short runs and left car for 2 days without driving. Drove car during test for about 40 miles with no issues so was thinking if it was alternator car would have died at some stage during test. Maybe one of those range rover weird electrical occurrences that seem to plague us ....... Thoughts and input always welcome.

One of the reading lights in the rear of the car, not the main interior lights.

Combo of all the general battery abuse that it has had over the past few weeks fbh, air bed filling, boot open, all seems ok at the moment, it is charging fine and starting with gusto! At the moment..... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
