SC Chrome Exhaust Tips

Evening all,

Anyone got any tips or advice on cleaning and polishing the chrome exhaust tips on the SC back to their original shiny state?

Thanks
Adam

Thanks. Will that remove the tar spots too or from experience, would you recommend something else for that?

Depends on how bad they are. You might want to use some Tardis or another tar removing solvent on them first. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Re: SC Chrome Exhaust Tips

Agree with Alan. I Tried Tardis, AG SRP, AG Paint Renovator, Farecla G4 and Metallic T Cut, Autosol & Farecla G3. All will do a good job.

However, if you have engrained black crud on the chrome, the type that eats into the tips in particular, in our case that only finally came off with a small amount of wire wool and Brasso.

Any tar spots will come off with diesel , soak a rag in diesel and tie around chrome for a few hours or over night

Soak the tips in petrol or diesel over night and the majority of the crud will just wipe off.
Autosol will then polish them back to like new Thumbs Up 2020 Porsche Panamera Turbo Hybrid (V FAST)
