There's a discussion about Eurotunnel in the camping and caravanning section which should answer your questions

you not only have to consider the height but the width as well...in the single carriages there's plenty of room on each side , the double deckers have less space so you get 'passers by' going to the toilets getting very close to your pride and joy.. ... - .- -.

Thanks. Haven't had a problem going in the single-decker queue but have never specified it. |

I've done both regularly - they fit, but are very tight

They are tight in standard height - loads of room in the over height carriages.

Width too? Stan mentioned people going to the toilet and skimming the car. With the van being wider, just how much room is left? |

Tin tent goes in fine in the overheight. Did it last summer with our 26' lunar. Not a prayer im standard height.

Towing anything (or even bikes in the back) and you're in over height - the regular doors don't open wide enough. |

They go in fine for width and height, do it regularly and never a problem. letters not necessarily in the right order |

It doesn't cost any more to go in the single decker carriages and you don't need to worry about the car fitting, or having an IID tool to lower it further or even put it in access height, wouldn't consider doing it any other way. Discovery 4 HSE

When you say single deck, that means double height? It looks that way (unless there's an even higher one!)

Yep thats the single deck carriages, easy fit for a ff and van, just have to swing across and pretty much out the other side to line up when boarding There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
