I seem to recall that the integrity of the sale was questioned as it appeared back up for sale very quickly after.

I find the format of the program annoying. The whole thing is a "set piece".....which is fine for the oily bits Ed covers, as you might just learn something from him and save some time/money......but Brewers purchases and sales seem very plastic and have got progressively more so over the years.
Also the part supplier prices listed are questionable at times. I put one to the test once, ordering the same kit they used for a 205Gti....the price I was quoted from the listed supplier was far North of the price listed by WD

yes they did as mentioned before which I, and Stan! missed however many other things like the temp gauge reading -40.0C, not to be pedantic but I will be, no mention of service history, owners, are they Khan alloys etc. The contributors, I assume pay to be on the show as I doubt the company who did the 'carbon fibre' could do all that for £200, I stand accused Thumbs Up all irrelevant as many better TD6s available for less or the same money which havent been subject to a Gok Wan Makeover on tv Very Happy

yeah, i saw those new tyres too.

-as mentioned above they have to do the same thing every week, and sell it on at a profit etc. impossible really witht the cost of labour and semi-special tools etc. but also as mentioned we learn a bit from every programme. and it always make me laugh how Ed is always waiting behind the door when he toots the hooter! but it cannot ever be as bad as some of the similar programmes like the chop shop idiots, and that classic resto prog. with the same Bernie guy. or the 'Strippers' sell on parts challenge etc.that was horrondously wrong. there are some better programmes doing restoration etc on some Amercan shows, but we seem to always have to have a sort of similar storyline to the previous week etc. i just hope that people havent rushed out to buy an old banger and change a few balljoints, fit and exhaust and try to actually sell it on.......but these programmes at least break up the cycle of tv reality/singing/cooking that we are fed thesedays......

'Ed, Ed, Ed, oh mate, you've done it again! look at it! ohhh, Ed!

if you watch the jag mk2 episode that was full of 'untruths' , 'fake leather', and good body etc. and the car still smoked like a trooper, it was smoking during the 'Morse' end scenes on the streets of Oxford!

i like the specialist backyard/arches one man businesses that do the hard to find fixes etc. like the steering wheel rebuild, and jobs like revennering. and steering box reseals etc.

Cash? today, youve just bought yourself a lovely motor!

At the end of the day as some one else previously said "it is' entertainment".

We all read into it differently, but what the heck. It also has a very beneficial technical aspect. Thumbs Up
