Dual view works whatever gear you are in.

Didnt work for me in P but came on when in D.

And yes, DVD is only for those cars with RSE fitted (I sort of miss it but I hardly used it, and an iPad sits on the ledge in front of the screen for when you need to watch something when stationary - like going through the Chunnel for example) Discovery 4 HSE
