A lot of executions going on today | |
The latest 'Kim' in Korea wants to show what a man he is so has his uncle shot - not that I have much sympathy for the uncle.
Bangladesh is going through some reconciliation exercise so hangs some moslem extremist - not that I have much sympathy for him.
Two murderers in Japan are told, after years of wondering if it's today, that it is actually today - not that I have much sympathy for them.
The usual suspects of Iran, China and Texas have kept quiet, maybe they either want to be seen as the good guys for a change or have run out of people to execute. Hard to believe the latter as their criteria to execute is pretty low. You'd think they'd treat it as 'bad news day' - the time to get as many of theirs done in one go while the media is overwhelmed by executions else where.
'tis a ghastly business even if you don't have a lot of sympathy (or any in fact) for the condemned.
