Wheel alignment and Tracking

My Friend has offered the use of his laser alignment equipment to setup the wheel alignment on my 52 plate Range Rover TD6.

I would like to know the Land Rover recommended setup. I have not got RAVE or any other Land Rover maintenance guides and hoped someone on here could advise me.

I need to do this as its wearing rear n/s tyre outer edges and pulls left slightly. I have put up with this but it really needs sorting before I have to replace tyres because of this. I have replaced a track rod end and control arm bush and can not find any other worn suspension components.

Please advise me accordingly - thanks in advance

From Chris

Your friend should know, or have access to the info, if he has laser alignment equipment

You can download the RAVE here:
http://green-oval.com/joomla/index.php?opt...;Itemid=29

Beware that the RAVE only covers models 02 to 04 (BMW based - I have no idea what MY a '52 plate' is, BTW. Another case of Brits and Americans divided by a common language Rolling Eyes ). Alignment procedures should be the same on later models but the specs may have been changed for better characteristics with the later bigger wheels/tires. You'd have to check w/someone who has access to LR GTR - the online resource that replaced the RAVE - or buy access yourself.

Sorry for going off-topic, but as we've touched on this: can someone explain 'nearside' and 'offside' to me? I'd always assumed that this was from the drivers perspective so that nearside would be RH and offside LH. I've run into several situations where this didn't quite work out.
RRC 2Dr, RRC 4Dr,
P38, and 2 L322s
(wife thinks I'm nuts - prob right, too)

Officially (in the UK) the NEARSIDE is nearest the pavement or the passenger side. The OFFSIDE would be the drivers side.

Were the several situations which caused your confusion because (when driving in France) you were driving on the right?

I am not sure how these terms would translate on foreign roads in all honesty Confused
