[Sold] Faultmate MSV-2 Extreme with single vehicle licence

Please note that this item is now SOLD

Sadly, after 9 years and 80,000 miles, it’s time for me to part with my 4.4 V8 Vogue so I no longer have any use for my diagnostics kit.

Up for sale is my Faultmate MSV-2 Extreme with single vehicle licence.

The kit includes :

1) Faultmate MSV-2 Server Extreme with VCI (HW018)
2) Serial Connection Lead (LD032)
3) Black OBDII Lead (LD022)
4) Power Supply (AC001)
5) Extension Lead (LD011)

This item currently retails with Blackbox Solutions for £950. I’m asking £675 (including UK postage) and it’s in ‘as new’ condition.

I have the ‘Transfer Of Ownership’ form from Blackbox which I’ll complete at this end following the sale – I’d just need to add the buyer’s name & address before I email the form back to them. Blackbox designate this single vehicle licence as their highest ‘Exchange Group 5’ so the buyer would just have to pay their 50 Euro administration fee to be able to transfer it to any (single) vehicle in the Land Rover range.

Here’s an example of the settings the Faultmate allows you to make for just one of the ECUs (Body Control Module) :

Just send me a PM if you’d like to buy. I’ll give it a few days and then stick it on eBay if no one’s interested.

Phil

Phil,
If this will work with my 2011MY 4.4 TDV8 I'd be very interested. I'm trying to find confirmation that it will on their web page. 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Baltic Blue MY11

Hi Baron,

Blackbox do show the 2010-on models as being in the same Exchange Group as mine so it should be okay but obviously it would be best to get confirmation directly from Blackbox.

Thanks Phil,
Looks like I might also need the null modem lead (LD032) to connect it to my laptop and as it doesn't have a serial Port, only USB, i will also require a USB to serial adaptor AC002. So it looks like ill need those as well as an upgrade to the appropriate software module but I'll see what they come back with following my email today. Hopefully I'll be able to give you a firm decision by tomorrow night.
Cheers,
Baron. 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Baltic Blue MY11

Hi Baron,

I would like to suggest to invest in a Panasonic Toughbook as the serial to USB lead is not great in my experience.

I bought a CF34 (quite old) as the one that came with my FM had a hard disk death (still trying to install the new one). The Toughbooks are cheap and sturdy and have serial ports. I find them to be more reliable than the USB to serial.

I paid 80 Euro for the small CF 34 and 125 GBP for the CF17 (direct from BBS).

Good luck Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!
