Although from previous discussions nobody on here wants to believe it, Gliptone conditioner isn't the correct stuff to use on modern automotive leather. You can't "feed" leather which has a PU coating. |

I was thinking about starting a thread in the near future about restoring all my leather as it's a bit minging!! Door trims too!

Dunno what the best cleaning products are, i use autoglym but there are probably better out there, however i had a few small worn patches on mine, ordered some leather dye off ebay. Worked great! Repainted a few patches and they look like original leather. Only small areas but totally dissappeared. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I understand about the coating on the leather, but mine definitely feels nicer after a couple of treatments, maybe the sealing coat wears off or degrades in the sun, and the leather can absorb the cream. I'm with 47p2 - it smells better as well! Never been troubled by it bunging up the perforations, it simply disappears with a few rubs |

a little but can someone clarify the correct procedure for using gliptone cleaner and then conditioner? I seem to get a whole load of cleaner onto a pad, brush a bit but it seems to disappear quickly and not really do much cleaning...

I used to be a valeter and i would highly recommend gliptone cleaner and conditioner. I bought mine off a saab dealer on ebay for £10 plus a small p&p charge.

So what removes minor scuffs and scratches then please (does the glipton process do that)? |

@pld118. This won't sort scratches, you need a scuff kit. I used to by them from a classic car restorer company who's name escapes me. If I remember I will repost.
