Real life driving opinions pre and post facelift 4.2SC

Morning all,

Still got my eye on getting a 4.2SC but just been hit with a huge business cost which may cut a good £10k off my original budget. With this in mind I've been looking at pre facelift with v low (35k) mileage as well as higher mileage post facelift.

What I would like to know, and I have looked everywhere for this, is what owners real life driving experiences both on and off road with pre and post facelift, something a test drive cannot really show. For example I think I read that post facelift has better suspension, less body roll in the corners.

Also love to know, as this is to be my first RR, Embarassed, is their a real difference with RR's with terrain response and those without in everyday off-road situations, mud snow etc?

I very much prefer the post facelift interior but I may now have to temper my aspirations.

I very much look forward to all replies.

OK first, when you say post & pre facelift... Which one are you refering to? 07MY Terrain response/interior upgrade or 09MY> Facelift?

Sorry, meant the one with the terrain response interior upgrade and where the ignition moved up to the dash from beside the gear knob

The 'post' ones definitely have a nicer and more durable interior.

I'm not sure about the rolling in corners question, but the first SC cars had a slightly stiffer suspension to their contemporaries. With the coming of the TR cars, this suspension mod was used on all FFRRs. So I THINK all 4.2SCs should handle the same.

My last FF was an 06 SC pre facelift and my new FF is an 08MY TDV8 and is worlds apart (better) in its cornering ability and overall comfort levels Thumbs Up

Thanks for the replies any more gratefully received.

Am asking as there is a cracking looking 06 with less than 30k miles but it's pre upgrade, but look in great condition and one owner.
