I have some Spike spyder snow chains that I used to use on my D3. I used to put them on the front wheels whereby I had traction for power, braking and steering. I heard somewhere that the L405 (which I now have) can only take chains on the rear wheels - has anyone else heard that / is that right? Doesn't sound ideal - if true, is this a clearance issue? Spike Spyders don't go behind the wheel so only issue could be clearance into the wheel arch - I could fix that by just raising the suspension?
Only go skiing once a year - don't really want to pay over £1000 for specialist tyres. Geoff
