Injector inbalance on four cylinders

Well did not manage a month as some maybe aware! No 7 injector packed in a couple of weeks ago but last night after a five mile drive 7 then left standing for an hour on restart engine was lumpy & shook itself for a couple of miles before clearing. Plugged it in this morning & showing inbalance on 4 6 8 2 injectors. However live data shows egr valves working smoothly, turbos also smooth & all 8 injectors within limits. low 7 high fuel pressures also stable & within limits so am quite confused. Worse things happen at sea! Well thats what swmbo said when WRENS came to sea!!!

Hi M&M

Have you checked your coil packs (one on top of each plug), I had one go and the symptoms were exactly as you describe. At first MIL light flashed and then went on steady.

Arent they all on one side?

Could it be wiring related? Maybe a problem with the injector loom on that side of the engine, loose connection etc? There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Not sure as injector numbers dont correspond to cylinder numbers apart from seven & eight I think. does any one know the corresponding injector numbers to cylinder number? lucky for me when injector seven failed it was readable on the loom Very Happy Worse things happen at sea!
