Conor, you may miss the edit on my last post, you might actually only need the bolt nut and washers as far as i can tell that is where the adjustment is set not in the actual arm.

the bolt has an eccentric head which provides the adjustment 5K751A,RGI000012, KYF500080, RYH000061

you will need them anyway if you are cutting it out..... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Out of interest has this ever happened anyone else just wondering if they are prone to wear and therefore lose ability to retain arm in correct position?

Now that I'm an expert Laughing it's no 14 that's worn on mine seems bush is worn as it just turns when bolt is turned. Thumbs Up

Probably something which doesnt get looked at all too often as i would bet 90% of owners are unaware of the ability to do a 4 wheel alignment. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Yes I've had mine done, they need to be adjusted when you change the rose bushes

Could be just one of those things Googsy, seems odd that on your '08 the bush has "gone" whereas on my '02 they were still in pretty good nick when I replaced them (madly chose to replace all bushes at rear in one go!)

If bush is spinning the bolt has probably seized to it, they weren't put together with any lubricant as far as I could tell. .

As you pointed out I'm sure they must have held one bolt whilst trying to turn the other. I think he said nut wouldn't move any further when tightening so when he let go it moved back into original spot it could be the the thread on the bolt that could be damaged. It's amazing that I have had 3 alignments recently from different garages yet they never commented that's what has me baffled .Going to my mechanic Monday as he can put it up on the ramp for a look. Thanks for your help Thumbs Up and hopefully Dan will be off the blocks with replacements. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

If the bolt is still free to turn when you tighten the nut to lock the eccentric bolt in position would it not be possible to place a washer or two under the nut so that it can then be tightened correctly?

Not sure what you're saying...

The bolt at the chassis end is an eccentric bolt, it's eccentric to allow the adjustment of the toe-in. It is either tightened or loosened, it can't wear out as it has no moving parts.

It could be rusted to the bush, but I doubt that. My suggestion would be to remove the bolt completely and fit a new bolt (that's what I did) as it makes adjusting the toe-in so much easier. I fitted all 4 new eccentric bolts when I replaced my rear bushing, the two for the toe-in adjustment and the two for the rose bushes

But if the bush actually is going round and round there is a problem .
