Watch and jewellery insurance

Does anyone have a separate policy for high value items?

I've read that Hiscox provide standalone policies for such things. Currently have home and contents with DirectLine, but I'm not convinced they offer cover out of the house. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Yeah they do .... Also mind as well when high valued items are in the house the small print stipulates that they must be kept locked in a specific safe ....

Mind as well regarding high priced jewellery you are insuring to get a new valuation on them.

Plus if you have the original receipts and photographs of the actual items too Thumbs Up Thumbs Up ====================================

Thanks Mick, I've already got the fireproof safe with it's "cash value" figure. I've also got the pics and receipts/valuations of the items I want covered.

Take a look at M&S premier house and contents insurance.....high individual and total cover with very few questions asked at a very reasonable price. Unlimited contents limit, single valuable item limit is £15k and total valuables is £50k even away from home. No requirement for a safe, or even the need to send valuation certs. You just need to get precious stones settings over £4k checked every 3 years.

unlimited building and content's for me was less than £500pa. '08 Audi S6 Avant 5.2 V10 with Milltek non-resonated. Vrrrrrrmmmmmph
'59 Ford Kuga Diesel (boring but AWD and 40mpg...)
2007 (07) Subaru Forester XTen 2.5 Turbo. (Roundabouts are fun again!)
2007 (07) 4.4 V8 Vogue (gone)
