Radio ga ga...

Ok I'm having troubles with the old radio sound in my l322. Sometimes it's spot on, normal, sometimes I get a bit of a crackle when turning the key and some times no sound. Yesterday I had radio signals and stations ok but no sound. Today there was perfect sound then later on nothing, not even dsp on the menu screen? Seems to happen when it's been raining but not any wet in there ! A bit damp ? Is it the big black amp or the bm54 causing the problem ? How would I test ?

Scotland 2005 Range Rover Autobiography Td6 Java Black

Hi Steve
Have you entered the hidden menu to see if there are any error codes showing.
This post has a couple of links to info on how to do it.

There is also a pdf with the instructions on the Densosat system which is in my RR and playing up.
If I knew how to post a pdf i would attach it for you. If you do a google search for densosat diagnostics pdf you should be able to find it. When I did it it was the top article. Traded in my Audi TT 225 for my Range Rover TD6 Autobiography in Java Black. Range Rover now sold.

L322 audio crackles

We had the same faults. Only crackles and loss of sound. No issues with screen or head unit. We have a 2004 vogue.
We sent both units to CAA electronics. Www.bmwgm5.co.uk. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up These were tested and repaired. Our issue was the large black dsp amp, not the silver bm54.

We fitted water shedder, and new boot seal, before putting them back. There was no obvious water ingress or damage to our units.

We had a battery drain issue 15 months before, that was due to the sat nav unit, also in the boot. So we assumed that there has been wet/damp issues in this compartment.

BM54 - DSP Repair

Hi - Do you have the contact details for CAA electronics as I have a similar problem and looking for a reliable repairer, I have searched the net but nothing is coming up for them.
